We focus on development of skills that promote sailing ability, canoeing and kayaking, safety on the water, and powerboating.

With the Brisbane Waters right outside our back door, we program for Water Activities as part of the regular weekly Joey, Cub, Scout and Venturer Section night activities during daylight savings in term 1 and term 4.
As part of their regular section nights during terms 1 & 4, all youth members can expect to sail, canoe, kayak and learn all about water safety and fitness.

In addition to this, throughout the year we offer specific:

  • Learn to Sail Programs;

  • Flat Water Canoeing / Kayaking Courses;

  • Powerboating Courses;

  • Water Safety Courses; and

  • Boat Maintenance and RepairWorkshops

WATER ACTIVITIES

These courses are advertised on our events page. There are often pre-requisites like age, swimming ability and previous courses. They have specific E1s, additional costs and places are always limited. We advise all members to register early for these courses to avoid disappointment.
